New Years!

We were lucky enough to get invited to our friends cabin for new years eve. We packed up the kids... and all of our holiday left over treats... and headed up to the cabin. We had such a blast!

The kiddos eating dinner:
Porter, Trace, Sami, Hunter, Logan & Gracie
Lay off me I'm STARVING
This picture pretty much sums up what Sami did the entire trip! She figured out how to climb up on the barstool and was into the food every time we turned around. what can I say... she's her mama's girl!
Playing hide and seek with "Uncle Jolley"
If you look closely you can see him hiding with the kids... that's his tan and white shirt peaking out! The kids ate that up!
Pajama-jam party!
Hunter and Porter got to have a slumber party... and they actually did some sleeping! We let them stay up and play until about 11 and sent them up to bed... and they STAYED! Even with bellies full of sugar! What good boys!

The "grown ups" stayed up playing games. I'm not sure if we were as funny as we thought we were, or if we were just delirious from lack of sleep... midnight is late for us old timers!
ps... Tiffy doesn't actually smoke, but what would Freud say about this picture?! I shot a random picture of everyone from the balcony when I went up to check on the boys and Tiff just happened to be in this position without knowing I was taking a shot!
Aren't I beautiful?!
Miss Grace got into her mommy's hair gel and "did her hair". So pretty!

Kinda creepy...
try explaining to a 3 year old why Bambi's head is mounted on the wall. Actually the kids thought it was cool... it was mom that was wondering that...
Sami loved wearing Des' shoes around the cabin. She seems to have an early love of shoes!
Ping Pong!
The guys challenged each other to a ping pong tournament.. Chad ended up the victor.. this time :)
Then the little boys took the challenge

We are so lucky to have such good friends that always invite us to do fun things. Hopefully we'll have some fun stuff in the future so we can return the favor!

2008 was a good year, but it had it's challenges too. I'm looking forward to a new start with a new year!

Happy New Year!

I do remember you very well! You look great, and your kids are adorable. I'm so sorry for your loss as well! It is definately a hard thing to go through! I dont know what I would do without the gospel! If you ever need someone to talk to who can relate, email me for sure! So good to see you. Take care!
